Project in Casamance
MobileSenegal worked with the Nayah Solutions NGO, USAID/EPQ, the University of Ziguinchor and the Aline Sitoe Diatta Middle School in Oussouye on a four-week pilot where pupils were introduced to social media, Google Maps and mobile apps on Android tablets. The course targeted a middle school audience with limited exposure to Internet technologies.

Girls in ICT Day
In April 2013, in celebration of Girls in ICT Day, MobileSenegal, in collaboration with ImagiNation Afrika and the British Council, held a training for 20 girls from six schools of Dakar in developing mobile applications, QR codes, SMS services and websites for mobile. Led by Dr. Christelle Scharff, Pace University (USA), the girls have discovered some simple mobile apps, how to create an SMS platform, generate QR codes and a website for mobile devices. The training lasted 3 weeks and took place during sessions on Fridays.
